The project of power supply was completed by the group of companies “Rosseti” intended for sportive infrastructure of the XXII Olympic and the XI Paralympic Winter Games in 2014 in Sochi. On August 31th took place the opening ceremony of the substation “Sportivnaya” 110 kV – the final system- power facility , designed to provide a continuous power supply of the 2014 Olympics. Our company attended the event and the General Manager’s interview will be published in the October issue of the journal ” Energy of the South .” Background on the project: ESTRALIN High Voltage Cables has produced for the SS “Sportivnaya” 36.7 km of power cable A2XSH(Fl) 1X300RM/95-64/110 kV. Supervision of cable laying was performed by “Promont” company. SS “Sportivnaya ” provides backup power supply for the Olympic facilities, located in the mountain cluster. During the Games, it will also take some of the local energy networks . After the completion of the 2014 Olympics SS “Sportivnaya ” will be used to supply electrical power to the ski and tourist facilities GC “Roza Hutor”.
