In June 2012 “High voltage Cable Factorу” (former “ABB Moskabel”) entered the Estralin Group. The new factory name is “Estralin High Voltage Cables”, with abbreviation “Estralin HVC”. The core business remains the same e.g. XLPE-cable for 10 – 220 kV production. “Estralin HVC” products and services meet the international standards of IEC (60502-2, 60840, 62067) as evidenced by certificates of conformity GOST R system and the system of fire retardancy. The history of “Estralin HVC” starts in 1996, when the well-known international group ABB (Asea Brown Boveri), started XLPE cables production in Russia at “ABB Moskabel.” Since 1997, the factory produced cables 10-35 kV, from 1998 qualified even 110 kV XLPE-cable production and from 2006 even 220 kV XLPE-cables. In autumn 2011 ownership changed, the factory was renamed in “High voltage cable factory.” In June 2012 the factory entered Estralin Holding Group, and changed name to “Estralin High Voltage Cable Factory”. During its history, the cable factory delivered more than 182 cable projects, 11 projects running at this moment. During its history, the factory has been constantly modernizing, almost 100% of manufacturing equipment was updated and new lines were added. Quality control processes improved. Access to technology, experience and know-how of ABB group, advanced procedures in the field of cable manufacturing and quality control processes at all stages were introduced. The plant today is a modern enterprise with “state of art” production equipment and extensive experience in manufacturing of high-voltage cable. Enlarging the range of production portfolio and increase in production capacity asked for further investments, currently finalizing the installation and commissioning of new production equipment. The factory will be able to manufacture high-voltage cable 110 and 220 kV with conductor cross section up to 2500 square mm. Implementation the new concept of clean rooms and material handling system for CCV (continuously catenary vulcanization) lines as well as clean rooms at extruding platforms, ensures exclusion of contaminants in the cable insulation. The new, state of art production equipment with most modern control systems, together with dedicated and motivated co-workers/personnel as well as accumulated experience in manufacturing of high-voltage cables, makes ESTRALIN HVC the natural choice of supplier of High Voltage Cables.
