This May we signed a contract for supply of high-voltage cable and cable accessories 500 kV produced by SÜDKABEL GmbH for the needs of MES Center, the branch of Federal Grid Company. These products will be used at SS “Noginsk” 500/220/110 kV. Earlier we delivered cable system 220 kV for this substation. SS “Noginsk” is a part of Moscow Energy Ring 500 kV and one of the key substation for Moscow region. This site provides energy for the users of Noginsk and Noginsk district, Central Aerohydrodynamic University in Zhukovsky, and is fed from TPP-23 and Shaturskaya TPP. SS “Noginsk” was the first substation 500 kV in USSR. In 2012-2016 this site was reconstructed and installed power was increased to 2200 MBA.
